Sinful Colors in Hot Spot (66)

So I found this on a very random day. I went in to browse and see if there was anything new. I saw they were restocking the cosmetics section and there was a pile of old shelves with some random Sinful Colors in them. This little guy was right in front just singing for me to take him home with me. So I did. It's a deep blue metallic. Im pretty sure it was a LE from an old collection so I don't think you can get it.
Total /10
Dry Speed: 2 points- Layers dried quickly.
Price: 2 points- $1.99
Application: 1 point- The bottle and the brush were fine but I had trouble getting it to go on even.
Opaque: 1 point- Streaked on the first coat and was better after the second.
Wear: 2 points- This pic was taken after 2 days of wear. Still looks like I just applied.

Influencer Vox Box Review

So today I am going to review the Something Blue Vox box from Influenster. This was sent to me free of charge for review purposes.
This is the box I got its more of a pink than a purple in real life. And once you open it up it looks like this.
On top are a few pages on whats contained in the box.
The kiss lashes one is actually a coupon for a dollar off another set of lashes. Nice bonus. Now onto the item for review.
Hmmm at first looks I'm not sure what to think. This is supposed to be a box that's suppose to be full of products to be used at a wedding. So lets dig further and see what is actually in the box.
So if this was my wedding or if I was attending a wedding ache and pain relief to go is going to be a big plus. I wouldn't be wearing my glasses due to glare in the mass of photos that will be taken. Between no glasses and all the loud noises I can only foresee a headache coming. Ill just slip that into my little purse and bam! headache-be-gone!

Now for those oh so perfect pearly whites. Luster Now! is an instant whitening toothpaste! Very nice indeed. Who doesn't want that all the time? Ill definitely be doing a further review of this. I have soft teeth that discolor easily and if they found a way to bottle that oh so white after the dentist whiting effect Im sold. Take my monies now please!

As a single girl I have to have ready to flirt eyes. A little falsies to give my eyes that extra vrooom! I have a choice between soft and sweet 01 and Lush and sexy 03. Personally I'd go with the 03's because I'm sweet enough. And you can never have to much sexy. Then when you get on the dance floor and you dance til you start sweating and your makeup is starting to melt off you can touch it up with the qtips.  The points on the ends will really help to fix the smudges under your eyes without pulling too much

Now just think if you inserted these ball of foot inserts into your skyscraper heels then you may just find yourself dancing in those ridiculous shoes that you thought would be perfect for the big day. You might even get more than 2 songs in too. I have used these already in my wedges that I love but since I started wearing boots everyday all day for my job my feet can't really handle being in heels for long. I was able to get a solid 4 hours in my wedges with these. Considering I only got 30 mins in them before I count this as a must have item even if you aren't going to a wedding any time soon.

I hope this review was helpful. If you would like to join influenser just leave your email down below and Ill send you and invite. I only have 5 to give away but once you are invited you have 5 to give away yourself.

Until next time...

Day 67- Sinful Colors in Fiji (65)

Ah Fiji, warm summer breezes, white sand, and plenty of relaxing, Well this polish is not a breeze. Its pretty in the bottle but on the nails? Not so much. It was apart of the perm collection.
Total: /10
Dry Speed:2 points- This polish is thin so it dried fast.
Price: 2 points- Supercalifragilisticexpialidociou!.
Application: 2 points- It's thin but the brush is great.
Wear: 1 point- I was able to get through my shower before it started to peel off.
Opaque: 0 Points-The pigmentation sucks for this color but it would make a great accent topper since its so shimmery!

Day 68- Sinful Colors in Luminary (64)

I have a soft spot for Sinful Colors as we all know by now. So when I saw this color posted in NTMS I had to hunt it down and own it. RIGHT THEN AND THERE! Sadly my quest was ended when I found out that all of my local stores were SOLD OUT! Later that week I was browsing all of the new collections and there hiding in the back between two displays was my beautiful Luminary. Its a coral orange with soft silver simmer. It's not that bad to take off either.
Total : 8/10
Dry Speed: 2 points- this dried in under 2 minutes.
Price: 2 points- : ) Budget friendly line.
Application: 2 points- Smooth as a baby's bottom.
Wear: 1 point- I did have some tip wear on the first day but no major chipping.
Opaque: 1 point- It did need two coats to be completely opaque, but that's the minimum I put on anyways.

Day 69- Sinful Colors in Neon Melon (63)

Ahh Neons! The staples of summer! I love neons, hate how sheer most are. This is part of a limited edition collection that was released for the summer for the past few years.
Total: 8/10
Dry Speed: 2 points- Like most of the neons by Sinful Colors, this color dries super fast.
Price: 2 points- I picked this bad boy up when they were having a .99 cent sale.
Application: 2 point- I can always depend on sinful colors to have great brushes. Plus the formula was smooth and applies cleanly.
Wear: 1 point- I had some minor chipping after 24 hours but it survived its encounter with water.
Opaque: 1 point- This is great if your are trying to create outer space nail art but by itself it needs a base color to make it solid.
Until next time lovelies!

MAC Haul

So I found out MAC had released a beautiful summer collection called Temperature Rising. I saw they had two beautiful quads and I had called ahead to have them put aside for me. Unfortunately I live in the barracks and haven't been able to get my car yet. So getting a taxi can be a bit pricey and time consuming. I got there a day late. MAC had sold the palette set aside for me. Oh well I guess it wasn't meant to be. Ill just  move into what I did snag. I got Hot Night blush and Temperature Rising eye shadow quad. Below are pictures of the products.

Day 70- China Glaze in Unplugged (62)

At one point my mother was very sick she had been in the hospital for 2 weeks and they couldn't figure out what was wrong with her. At one point they thought it was colon cancer. When I found out about the collection that China Glaze released and how the proceeds would go to cancer research. Each color in the collection represented a different type of cancer. Unplugged was for colon cancer. So I made sure to find one of these. I found this in the clearance bin at my local beauty store. So of course it had to go home with me, in my mind I felt that I was going to help find a cure for my mother. Luckily we found out that she didn't have cancer.
Total:8 /10
Dry Speed: 1 point- The top dried really well but the formula is a bit thick and so it took longer for the layer under it to dry.
Application: 1 point- China Glaze has a great brush but since the formula was think it was hard to get just the right amount on the brush. It was either to much or completely dry.
Price: 2 points- China Glaze is a mid priced polish of about $7 but I was able to get it for 4.25.
Wear: 2 points- It survived my shower and gave enough strength to my weak nails to keep them from breaking at the current length.
Opaque: 2 points- solid in a single coat but I did two as always.
Until next time beauty queen!

Day 71- OPI in Rumple's Wiggin' (61)

"When I saw your face, Now Im a believer, I couldn't leave her, if I trieddddddddd. Then I saw youuuuurr faaaacccceee." Ahhh Shrek. Such an awsome movie. So when I heard about this collection I wanted it so bad, I was broke at the time. I found this bad boy in the clearance bin at my local beauty shop. Nabbed it instantly So this is a limited edition polish but sometimes you can find it.
Total 7/10
Dry Speed: 2 points- dried fairly well.
Application: 1 point- I hate OPI brushes. I heard they were goin back to the skinnier brushes, but I have not bought a new OPI since that rumor came out.
Price: 2 points- Most people pay $8-16 a bottle, I got this for $4.25 in the clearance section.
Wear: 2 points- This lasted 4 days, for me on my thin nails that's great.
Opaque: 0 Points- This polish is really pretty but I found this to be super sheer and I was hoping for a more solid lavender.
Until next time my lovelies.

Day 72- Sinful Colors in 24/7 (60)

Need a wham, bam!, in your face pink? I did and 24/7 is perfect for that. The color intensity is almost blinding. It's also on the matte side so its not completely blinding but a top coat can fix that. The color is in between bubble gum and barbie pink. This is part of the perm line from Sinful Colors.
Total 7/10
Dry Speed: 2 points- Like all the other matte formulas from Sinful Colors this polish dried super fast and the finish made it easy to tell when it was dry.
Application: 1 point- Streaked on the first coat, but I got full coverage on the second coat.
Price: 2 points- Do I really need to say more than $2 for this polish?
Wear: 0 points- This chipped later that night. If I had put a top coat on it probably would have helped it last longer but I wanted to keep the matte finish.
Opaque: 2 points- Solid as you or me!
Until next time my beauty queens!

Day 73- Sinful Colors in Bare (59)

Finding a nude polish that doesn't look pink but more flesh toned has been the bane of my polish loving existence. I have very pink undertones and its very evident when I wear nude polishes. Luckily for me Sinful Colors released this color in a collection a year or so ago. It has just enough yellow tone that it doesn't make my nails look sickly and it matches my skin tone perfectly with out leaning noticeably pink.
Total: 7/10
Dry Speed: 0 points- As you can see my trouble finger, my ring finger, has a few dents in it. This is due to not drying very fast.
Application: 1 point- The formula is really thick and that more than likely played into the dry speed.
Price: 2 points- Love the $2 price tag. Can't ever resist it.
Wear: 2 points- Even though the coats were thick, this still stayed on for 3 days. I was really impressed and I really didn't want to take it off anyways.
Opaque: 2 points- Good, solid coats. I could have gotten away with one but old habits die hard.

Until next time my sparkle babes!

Day 74- Sinful Colors in Gogo Girl (58)

This pure, clean, HOOKER red, is prefect for any budding polish enthusiast. Pure red is really hard for some to pull off, and if your one of those ladies the good thing is that this can very easily be used for nail art. This is not in my local stores perm collection so I had to pick this up in a LE collection.
Total: 8/10
Dry Speed: 1 point- It dried okay but I misjudged this polish for dry after 5 mins and got an impression of something. I can't remember what I had touched. I just remember looking at my nails and noticing it.
Application: 2 point- No streaks, just pure unadulterated color.
Price: 2 points- The price is why I bought it, that and I didn't have it. :D
Wear: 2 points- Jelly polishes love to stick on my nails. Yay!
Opaque: 1 point-I'm torn at this part. This isn't a cream like I expected its actually a jelly. What does that mean? Well its sheer but ultra shiny. Its also great for layering or tinting other polishes. If you want to wear this alone just know that you will have to add a few layers.

Until next time!

Day 75- Sinful Colors in Daredevil (57)

Daredevil is one of the newest shades that was added to the perm line. Its a bright pink with a blue sheen. Its's slightly visible in the picture of me holding the bottle.
Total: 8/10
Dry Speed: 1 point- The top layer dried fairly fast, but it held the moisture in the bottom layers. You can kinda see an impression from were I touched my jeans.
Application: 2 points- This went on buttery smooth.
Price: 2 points- I picked this bad boy up during a .99 cent sale. AAA Ya that's the best part.
Wear: 1 point- This for the most part dried well but again the under coat held onto the moisture and my middle finger received the a beautiful impression of my jeans.
Opaque: 2 points- This is a two coat for full coverage, first coat was just a bit to sheer for my tastes.

Until next time!

Day 76- Sinful Colors Snow Me White (56)

Nothing like a good solid white to round out a good polish line.  This is part of the perm collection but is also added to some LE Collections as well.
Total 10/10
Dry Speed: 2 points-Dried really fast.
Application: 2 points- This is two coats. Its a bit on the thick side but I don't mind that because it dried fast for being thick.
Price: 2 points- In my area these are 1.99 and in the main line.
Wear: 2 points- This polish lasted the 24-48 hour test.
Opaque: 2 points- One coat is good, but I did two for safe measure.
Until next time...

Future of this blog!

So I thought I might give you guys an update. Some may care, some may not, but that's okay either way. I have posted before about getting a new job well that fell through a long time ago. I was still working on my AA at a local college but I knew that being 23, living at home, and in an area that has the worst unemployment rate in the state was NOT going to be good for me in the long run. So I decided I needed a major change, I wasn't sure what but I know what I dream about having and where I'm at now just seems like two different worlds. So I looked at the girl I see myself being and asked what I am missing. I realized a needed a back bone. I need to learn to be strong, independent, and above all how to say the word "NO". My kindness is usually taken for weakness and I hate that. So I did some calling around, and found out that the NAVY is looking for recruits. So I signed my contract on September 4, 2012. I am going into Aviation Electronics. What do plains and beauty have in common? ME! I scored high enough to get a job in the field that is most highly sought after, at first I was SO NOT HAPPY. I dread the idea of being sent over seas. I really just wanted a paperwork kind of job, but this will be okay. Now I am going into a field that will have some options when/if I do decide to go back to civilian life after I've served my four years.

So what does that mean for this blog? Well a few posts ago I mentioned that I had been continuing taking pictures even though I wasn't posting. So I'm going to be "posting" via scheduled posts(one thing I love about blogger, that I wish youtube had. Hint Hint GOOGLE) for the duration of my stay in Chicago(boot) once I have access to a computer then I will be posting again. Now with me being military it will mean that what I wear on a daily bases will change. I still want to post fun, crazy looks but know that they wont be military and specifically Navy approved looks. So I will also be posting Navy approved stuff as well. Which will help the blog to be a bit different than other beauty blogs, I feel. I'll wear my uniform if they are Navy approved and "civies" or civilian clothes if not. Terminology may change a little too. The Navy calls a lot of items by different names, ie bathroom= the head, floor=deck. I also wont always have a lot of make-up with me, but I'm hoping to have my car with me so things that wont be ruined by the Florida heat(my school is in Pensacola) I'll keep there.

I know that the Navy will help me become the person I want to be, if I survive boot camp. I'm excited and EXTREMELY nervous too. I just keep seeing myself in my Navy uniform and then I picture what I want for myself in later years. So far those too, plus the help from some good friends, I know that I CAN do this.

I leave March 4. Navy, Lets Do This!

Day 77 - Sinful Colors Dream On (55)

Ah Sinful Colors, how I love thee. Sadly this is not one of the colors that is at the top of my favorites list. Dream On is a beautiful blue based purple and very NEON. Sadly it's a matte polish and not labeled as such. Also the formula for Sinful Colors matte polishes are a little funny in that they tend to be a bit spotty. This is from the permanent line.
Total :5 /10
Dry Speed: 2 points- The one redeeming quality of this polish is that it drys ridiculously fast.
Application: 0 points- This is one of the worst polishes when it comes to all over application. Its not the brush, its the formula.
Price: 2 points- In my area, I can get Sinful Colors for 1.99, and sometimes its .99. I tend to go a bit crazy on the .99 sales. Good thing I bought all of the colors I didn't have last time.
Wear: 0 points- I got a full day of this with out a top coat, with a top it only lasted an extra half day. Not going to lie kinda sad about that.
Opaque: 1 point- This is every bit as bright as in the bottle but I would need 3 coat (ring finger) to get complete coverage. A bit excessive for me.
Until next time...

Day 78- MAC Teal's It

So teal just so happens to be my FAVORITE color EVER! And its no surprise that I have ruffly 3 teal-ish colors. I choose to use MAC Surf USA in the inner corner since its bright, with a silver sheen. And then used MAC Steamy in the corner, it has a gold sheen and blended out with MAC Photo Realism, which is a champagne color.
