Nail Swatch: Pink Frost by FanatSea (26)

I really love this color, but I hate how shear it is. I got this in my cosmetology kit from school. It came with 3 other colors. This is the only one I really like out of them all. I don't mind cheap polish as long as its a good polish fo the price. I do need to mention that this polish was really easy to remove. I felt like I just touched the polish remover to it and it came off.

Review  /10
Dry Speed: 2 points- This dried super fast, I didnt have any dings or anything while it was drying so thats the best part for me.
Application: 2 points- Has a long brush that spreads well and a long handle so I didnt feel like I was going to lose control of it.
Price: 2 points- Not sure how much this was but it was included in the $800 I paid for my kit.
Wear: 2 points- As shear as it is, this polish lasted a full 4 days. Which is amazing most shear polishes tend to chip in a few days.
Opaque: 0 points- This was really shear, I know in the pic it doesnt look so shear but if you saw this in the sun light you would be able to see where my free edge started.

MAC Collection 8.2011

So this little group is from 3 shopping sprees. I promise I didnt buy all of this in one stop. My first stop way for my graduation girt to myself. I had finished off one gloss so I wanted to pick up a pretty one from MAC. I was goin to get a dazzle glass, but when I tested one that I liked, it was SUPER sticky and I really didnt like that. The rep that was helping me suggested that I try a cremesheen glass because the text is so soft and creamy. I didnt really see any that jumped out at me and screamed "take me home" so I asked for a suggestion. The rep got me a sample of Boy Bait and I fell in love. Its nude enough to look good on its own but I can pair it with a different lip stick and it would make it look better not washed out. Im so happy I bought this beauty.
Next I knew I was going to need a palette soon for my shadows as I already had quite a few, or at least I feel like I have a lot since I started buy MAC.

I also have really pale skin and oily lids so I needed to grab a matte highlight color that was goin to soften any look I did and my mylar is just my skin tone so its great to blend but not for a highlight. I grabbed Gesso, FINALLY! I'd been looking for this bad boy for a while it took like 3 or 4 trips to MAC to finally find it in stock. This color is a matte and is exactly what i wanted/needed.

Next I figured I needed a brown to do more natural looks, plus I didnt really have a good crease color. The girl who was helping me showed me so many really pretty browns. I wanted to get something matte, seeing as I have so many sparklies already. This is handwritten it's a matte2. I asked what the difference is between a matte and a matte2, I was informed the regular mattes tend to just stick in a single spot if you have dry lids. Matte2 are a lot creamer and smoother so they are a lot more blendable on all skin types.

Then I recently got hired at Beauty and the Beach salon. So from my first check I got 3 beautiful shadows. I had created a wishlist and carbon was on it so I grabbed it. Then I remembered how pretty fig 1 was the last time I was in and I knew that I needed it soon. Plus pink venus just jumped up and said to take it home.

This last picture is how I have my palette layed out as of right now. Not very much in it in comparison to others but I love what I have so far! Can't wait to fill it up.

New Brushes! from luuux.com Review

So I have been blogging on this website called Luuux. Its really great to get info out as well as learn about things really fast. One of the bonuses of the site is that you get luuux bucks and you can then go and buy things in the shop. The better the item the more luuux you'll spend but some of the items are really worth it. I just made my first purchase on luuux and I got the make-up brush set that luuux made not to long ago. I paid 4320 for my brushes and that includes shipping. I recieved an email stating it would take 3-10 weeks to get my package depending on supplies/type of product. Cosmetics tend to take a really long time. I got mine in 3-4 weeks. I cant remember for sure but it was a really short time. This is what it looked like when I took it out of the shipping box:

As you can see its a brush roll. This is something that i have been wanting for a while now. Then when you open it up it looks like this:

I love the protective flap. This will really help keep my brushes in better condition for a lot longer. There is also a zipper pocket on the  left hand side that is really large.
Then when you open it up you can see all of the brushes that comes in this:
The first brush is a large fluffy face brush.

One of the brushes I was really looking forward to trying is the stippling brush. I was really disappointed that this is the only brush that I have used in this set that sheds like no other so that has ruled it out as a foundation brush. I do use this for blush and it is awsome in appling the blush were I want and then buffing it out to blend it in will my foundation making it look even more like a natural flush.

Next is a small face brush. I'm really loving all of the face brushes. This brush I  use for more percise face product application mainly in the conturing and highlightling area. I have petite everything so for me this the perfect brush to apply my highlight and contour easily.

The next brush is another that I was looking forward to. This is the large fluffy blending brush. I have the ecotools eye travel kit and this type of brush is included but I wanted a bigger one as far as the handle goes for more control. I really love this brush.

The next brush I wish I could trade out... I have a really good foundation brush from Estee Lauder. So this bush is not necessary for me. I would have loved to get another lip brush, blending brush, or small face brush.
Then there is a concealer brush. This brush is really large in my peronal oppinion, but I can still use this becasuse i do photo shoot and not all of the models are petite. So there is hope for this brush.

Next is a dense shadow shader brush. It does exactly like the name says. I like to use this to pack on shadows to really give you a great color pay off.

Then are FLUFFY pencil brush. YES! i love this brush it really helps in smudging and defusing liner, or sumdge on a bit of color under the eye.

Now this is an angled flat brush. This is something I use to apply liner or do liner in a wet shadow. A basic in any collection.

This next brush is probably my most disliked brush in the whole set. This brush is so stiff as well as it tends to stab the delicate skin of my eye. This is another I wish I could trade off.

This brush is a large shadow brush for appling all over color. I really can't think of more to describe this brush its a basic brush that everyone should have/use for make-up application.
Next is one brush I need a lot of, I feel anyways. I normally apply my lipstick straight from the tube to my lips and this is not sanitary. I may have dry lips one day and the dry skin could stick the the bullet. Plus I have a few color that I love in small amounts and appling it from the tube tends to apply way to much color to my lips. The best part of this brush is that it comes with a metal cover so when I use this brush I don't have to worry about lipstick getting on my brush roll.

And finally this is a picture of the Luuux symbol.

One thing I really would recommend is washing these before you use for the first time. When I got them I did a haul video and I saw powsder fly from the brushes when I wiped them across my fingers to feel them.

Other than that these are really good brushes and are serving me well.

New Eyeshadows! My Beauty Addiction

So I found this lovely company on facebook of all places. My Beauty Addiction is ran by a wonderful woman names Sherrie. Her and her daughter Holly(who is a new mommy, Congrats!) do everything. The best part everything is completely natural. I shop from her often enough to tell you these are great products. I have over 80 samples of her shadows and thats just a small amount compared to the whole eyeshadow selection she has. She has recently come out with a collection called Molten Metals. I have just bought 5 of these beautiful shadows. I had a little trouble with them because they not like most shadows... I found that appling them wet was the best and easiest way to apply. I also bought a shadow that I had bought a sample of but I ran out/have very little of left. Lately she has been offering shadows of the day. Which means that a full 5g jar goes from $5 to $3. Its really awsome and a few times she has taken suggestions on which color she should make the shadow of the day. If your looking for some really glittery shadows she has the Twinkle FX collection which is her newest collection. I got Black Magic as a sample when I ordered the last time. Let's just say its Glitter-rific.

Here are swatches of the shadows that I just got:

Until next time...
