Day 78- MAC Teal's It

So teal just so happens to be my FAVORITE color EVER! And its no surprise that I have ruffly 3 teal-ish colors. I choose to use MAC Surf USA in the inner corner since its bright, with a silver sheen. And then used MAC Steamy in the corner, it has a gold sheen and blended out with MAC Photo Realism, which is a champagne color.

Day 79- China Glaze in Party Hearty (54)

Look at me go! Two posts in a month, HECK in a week. I'm on fire. <.< >.> May have another one coming up soon too. Well now that we have established that I'm blogging again, let us get on with the reason for this post. It's a beaut of a polish. This is China Glaze's Party Hearty. This polish was part of China Glaze's 2010 Christmas Collection. So if you can find it, I'd grab it. Its is a clear base with 3 sizes of glitter. The smallest is the gold, medium size is green, and the largest being red. This is a great topper for any Christmas or Winter Holiday manicure.

Total 8/10
Dry Speed- 2 points: The clear base dried well.
Application- 1 point: I took a point away because the glitter is a bit sparse and I had to keep dipping my brushes and dabbing the glitter on for the first coat. And the brush would take some of the glitter off if I applied like a normal polish.
Price- 2 points: I got this with my pro-discount. It was $4.25 a bottle + tax. That's a good price for me since its over $5 for a bottle at my local Sally's.
Wear-2 points: Its a glitter polish. Need I say more? I mean even the Apocalypse won't budge someones glitter manicure.
Opaque- 1 point: For a glitter polish I do feel that this is a fairly opaque if you willing to go through the trouble of dabbing it on. The different sizes really help to cover the nail but with the clear base it has to be placed over a base color first.

Until next time...

Day 80- Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Coral Reef (53)

 Hey Everyone,

Long time no post. :D Sorry about that, but I have still been taking pictures and I'm ready to jump into the blogging thing again. Today, I have a nail polish swatch and review. This is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Coral Reef.
Total 7/10
Dry Speed: 2 points- This dried spot on. I was able to get up and do things with in 5-10 mins.
Application: 2 points- I really like the brush on these polishes. They work well for my skinny nails.
Price: 2 points- Its under $3 a bottle for this line, and usually have some on sale as well.
Wear: 0 points- As you can see on the pointer finger I have chipping. I always photograph my swatches within the first 24 hours of application. I also used a base and top coat.
Opaque: 1 point- This did need 2 full coats. The first was a bit streaky.

There were lots of ladies who partook in this challenge and most are still blogging today. If you want to go read up on them click here. Scroll to the bottom links for them are there.
Until next time...
